Default Multi Effects Pedal

I'm about to buy one and I'm leaning towards the Boss ME-25.

Anyone got experience with this unit?

Anyone got any other ideas?

Hi Mick. I see they're $199 at MusiciansFriend so I'm guessing that's your budget?

A couple of questions:

1) What specific effects are you looking for? Do you just want a couple of them or "a lot" of them?

2) Can you use the "4 cable" method with the ME-25? That means that you can hook up the OD/drive/compression/etc effects into the front of an amp and the delays/chorus/reverbs/etc into the FX loop of your amp. Would you benefit from that - does your amp have an FX loop?

I'm mainly looking at using it in recording. Putting it into a Tascam DP-24 multitracker, either before or in the effects loop. I'm interested in experimenting with a lot of effects.

I had that unit. Very flexible, lots of good effects.

I bought mine 4 or 5 years ago and they were $199 back then.

It's been very useful. Good sounds. Same COSM modelling as in their more expensive ME products.
