Default New uke day!

This morning I got to meet up with Peter Hurney, maker of Pohaku ukuleles:

http://www.pohakuukulele.com

Peter is a one-man operation, and you can see how he builds instruments in a video on his web site. It's very impressive, and his workmanship is excellent. I came home with a wonderful tenor uke made from Big Island koa; it sounds as good as it looks!

Wow that is a stunning looking uke for sure. Are the neck and fretboard made of koa as well?

The neck is koa, but the fretboard is rosewood (unsure of the exact type).
