Another one here. I’m in Day 3 of a 5 Day mini vacation with the wife away. Dogs, BBQ, guitar and TV. Doesn’t get much better[emoji4].

Snow outside? You're obviously not in Fort Myers. FL.

Sounds like a great night. I just drained a growler as I was playing an Eagles and Petty concert. Banging the heck out of the strings on the Martin from “Runnin’ Down a Dream” to “Hotel California”. Dog by my side. What a great evening.

Heh. Naaah. Married 37 plus years. Playing 10 years before we got married. She was quite used to guitars, amps, and bands before we married. She's my best friend about guitars and has bought my best couple of electrics for me.

Now close your eyes and think back to the day when this happened and there was no such thing as cell phones.

Pics coming later! My guitars are quivering in anticipation.
Careful... you don't want to have to change your handle to "ahorsewithnowoman," now do you?

Why don't you drag out all your guitars uncork a bottle of your favorite with as much enthusiasm you can muster with your wife there. Might be surprised at the results.

Actually, I got married because I wanted to spend the rest of my life with the woman who became my wife. Have you ever seen When Harry Met Sally? It's a great Nora Ephron chick flick. At the end, when Harry realizes he loves Sally and runs to find her and she doesn't quite believe it. So he says,
"I love that you get cold when it's 71 degrees out. I love that it takes you an hour and a half to order a sandwich. I love that you get a little crinkle above your nose when you're looking at me like I'm nuts. I love that after I spend the day with you, I can still smell your perfume on my clothes. And I love that you are the last person I want to talk to before I go to sleep at night. And it's not because I'm lonely, and it's not because it's New Year's Eve. I came here tonight because when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible."
It's a great monologue and it really explains how I feel. Though I do enjoy an occasional few moments alone, I really do prefer to be with my wife. And when she is away, I can't wait for the rest of my life with her to start... as soon as possible.

And besides, when she is home, the dogs will leave me alone long enough to play guitar and will focus on her.

I did that a couple of weeks ago. My wife hates my “stupid guitars.” She was gone so I got them all out. Fired up the amp and Tele too. This pic was before I got the pilot light going in the fireplace.

Everything was packed up before she got home. As long as the neighbors keep their mouths shut I’m good to go.
