tascam PD-004 trouble
I do well with technology in general, but this tascam DP-004 has me stumped in terms of converting the .001 f files into .wav files internally in preparation for export.
I've read the directions a few times - was able to convert a file almost by accident, but can't duplicate the process. The tascam is a friend's, and I am not very impressed with it. I've read other reviews of the thing that have said it is very intuitive, but that has not been my experience. What is the consensus on the user-friendliness of these things? Perhaps it is just this model that is the problem...or it is me... Thanks! Curtis

tascam PD-004 trouble
I have one of those units but don't use it much but was curious about your question. I Googled it and found a PDF of the manual online (too lazy to look for mine). See Page 91 where it discusses data exchange, WAV format and the FAT32 partition of the unit. In order to convert to WAV I think the data must first be moved from the MTR partition to the FAT partition.
