We tried Rodger but the ambiance of varnish fumes swirling in the air had us staggering out of the dry room. I'm thinking popcorn, without the ambiance next time might be a better overall experience

Yes...pass the popcorn!
Thanks and it’s equally fun watching you and Ryan. As for the popcorn, OK, but fair warning, it might be a tad stale after you receive it

With the aroma of popcorn in the air and the mind altering effects of varnish wafting through our sinus passages, it's time for another installment of ... "The Tim and Mary Show." And now... heeeeerreee's Mary!

2/7/18 - refill the varnish sprayer...

The guitar hangs around waiting for her turn to go under the sprayer...

First Tim chose to varnish the neck...

Action shots would be better if the photographer knew how to handle her camera a little better...

This angle clearly shows he is in the process of spraying...

The neck goes into the wood room where it will dry. I won't make you watch the drying process ... this time.

On to the spray booth to work on the body...

Again, I return to this angle as it shows the spray is actually being applied.

Repeat after me. "Wax on. Wax off."

The body hangs in the humidity controlled room where it will be given ample time to dry. Watch with me.... Keep watching. Watch a little while longer. Hey, Rodger, my personal opinion tells me we all can watch this process for many long hours and it will still look ... like ... this.

Rodger: Who said watching paint dry had to be boring?

And as the paint dries slowly in Ohio, Mary sent me a few new pics. And here they are! The comments (unless otherwise noted) are Mary's:

Today won't give me many reasons for
taking pictures, but I'll show you what might make sense in the long run.

A syringe is the main tool for your guitar for this project...

Brill Cream - remember that? I shall steal their motto. "A little dab will do ya." (Rodger: my Grandfather told me about this motto!)

I can barely see the dots needing filled, but with the goggles Tim has a much better view than my old eyes do. Tiny hole by tiny hole your guitar will keep his attention. This is how we reuse pop cans before we recycle them elsewhere.

It’s looking really good!

It takes an especially sane person to be so diligent in watching paint dry. I guess that’s why many say I’d “cracked” a long time ago! Lol!

I'm waiting to see how a pickguard that says "the Dominator" can possibly fit in beautifully with this astounding guitar. As one who has done handwork his whole life, I found it just wonderful to see so many pictures of a master using experience, jigs, tools, and touch to arrive at precise and beautiful forms. Wow!

Another installment of "Guitar Building with Tim: Narrated by Mary."

It almost seems a shame to scratch off the nice finish, but it will be nicer if we experience the thrill to wait and watch.

The circular hand sander sands the sides...

Close up views follow...

That's about as exciting as it gets for now. LOL I promise to be in touch as soon as I have something more to share.
