I like the ones with the 90 degree plug for the wall socket. Less likely to disconnect during use.

No. Unless you have some wildly unusual power situation, don't waste your money. Some of the world's most advanced data centers, using the most sophisticated servers and power conditioning devices are connected together with $4 IEC power cords. It's a 120v single phase conductor. I can see some benefit in better cabling for low voltage (potential) signal cable. Heck, I just bought my first mogami guitar cable this week. Gulp. But for a power strip... Nope.
