SansAmp users, . . .
. . . I have a good ol' Sansamp Acoustic DI from 2001. I simply love it so much; however, I plan to get the Para Driver DI to have more options. If anyone has had or used both, what are your thoughts about the Para Driver bis a bis the old Sansamp?

The big difference is that the Para Driver DI has the ability to get distortion. The Acoustic DI is just the mic emulation. I'd say if you're happy with the Acoustic DI it may not be worth getting the newer model. It would be best to try it first.

I have both. Prefer the Acoustic DI as I find no use for the drive function or the footswitch. There seems to be a higher output for the older Acoustic DI too. Great preamp/di for acoustic guitar that goes under the radar a bit.

I have two sansamp acoustic di's. Love them they are about 15 years old. Haven't found anything that works better and I've tried them all.
