Default Traded up my laptop...

I have been using an HP I7 laptop. The processing power is good but it's WAY loud. Since I use it in the room where I record, this has been an ongoing issue. I have tried external cooling fans, tweaking the system, etc. with no luck.

This week I bought a desktop liquid cooled PC with an I7 7700 processor and it is soooo much quieter than the laptop. Money well spent. This PC is a gaming PC and has way more power than I need. It came with 16gb or Ram and is upgradable if needed.

I can't wait to really test it out with some recording.

Which HP laptop was it? I had fan noise problems with my i7 HP Elitebook, but I fixed the noise issue with some bios update/tweaks, video card driver update, and software, called "notebook fan control".

Good for you. It sounds nice. I have my tower in the closet.
