This. These GAD's are gorgeous, and tremendous values. Strike now before they are all gone! Check on Sweetwater's site; there are still a few left that have electronics.

Ok, so I'm between a Taylor 110ce with a padded gig bag for $635, or the Guild D140 with a hardshell case for $498. Please help me choose!!!

I have a PRS SE Angelus that I like. They just discontinued this model. Used ones out there for 500.00. New they were 699. One on ebay for 500, "never played " grand concert cutaway, solid top and solid back. Built in electronics.

But I would reconsider that Martin if I were you.

I just read that you have to remove strings to get to the battery on the Guild. That's definitely a deal breaker for me. I've had a few gigs where I needed to put a new battery in mid-gig. Plus, it doesn't have a built-in tuner.

I was going to suggest that if you were going to go with a Martin in that price range (that you said could go to $800), I was going to suggest the Martin 000RS1, as it is all solid woods including a real wood neck, not one of those horrid stratabond necks... But, alas, I do believe it has one of those battery bags inside the guitar. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/000RS1 Have you considered Seagull? They have a few all solid wood A/E models in that expanded price range. Look for the Seagull Maritime SWS series. Nice guitars that come in several configuration. I will caution that the necks are a bit thicker at the nut than most other guitars, so I don't know if that is a deal breaker or not. That said, they are easy to find in the wild to test drive (guitar center stocks them all over). Better than most of the guitars mentioned in this post.. purely in my own opinion, of course a couple of Examples: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/MaritimeSWSQI http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/MariSWSCHQ1

FWIW, I had a Martin OMCPA4 with a built in tuner. I thought it would be a huge advantage, but in practice it was too slow and unresponsive to be useful. Of course, your call re the battery.
