SIGNS OF INTELLIGENT LIFE IN THE CELLULAR UNIVERSE
Wow. After believing that I would never answer the phone again if it wasn't my wife, manager or mother.... (never from my brother....
 ). I received and answered the phone three times today expecting to hear "This is Janet from the accounts department........" or "We are consolidating time shares and wouldlike to buy yours". Usually followed by "I've told you people for years, I DON'T OWN ANY TIME SHARES". BUT low and behold it was actual people who didn't want to take me for, I mean sell me, something. There may be hope for the universe........ Minor positive rant content.

I got a call today from someone asking if I wanted to sell my timeshare. The ones that I usually get either start with a steamship whistle, "Congratulations! You've won a...," "This is Brenda calling about your credit card. There's nothing wrong, but..." or (three times and counting now) "This is Monica from Warranty Service. Our records show that the warranty on your Ford Fusion is about to expire..."
Uh, the extended warranty ended three years ago...

I used to never answer, but sometimes when I'm working around the house I just want to hear the sound of a human-like robocall. (My wife never talks to me that way any more...). Makes me feel, I dunno, a little more than just a common consumer. Yeah, I know it's a little off-center, but I just need the companionship of that transistorized young lady's voice once in awhile, Y'know??
Plus, having repaired credit, a chance to win some Alpaca socks, and an extended pest control contract are pretty wonderful benefits as well. Don't sell these things short, folks....
