Red face My humble beginnings. . .

A little over a year ago, I started recording and posting to YouTube. I was too embarrassed to show my face. It seems people want the ladies "my age" to be quiet. I've learned so much over the years lurking here. So anyway, I'm starting to get over my shyness a little. Here is a link to my YouTube. I would love to get some suggestions.

Your humble beginnings are impressive. I hope you stick with it and kudos for overcoming the shyness factor.

Good start Jen.

I have a few recordings with a $99 classical on my sound cloud page, lol. Beat ya by a buck. Your GK sounds good.

Default Thanks

Thanks to all of you. I am so glad I've been posting, so I can go back and look at progress and changes. This may seem silly, but out of all things I have done in my life guitar has been the most beneficial. It has made me confront the wall of what I have thought possible and climb over it.

creamburmese, I am checking out your http://adultguitarjourney.blogspot.com/

I've been learning some of the same pieces you have. I've thought about reading the motorcycle book after reading your post I might.

Nicely done, JenG. You are an inspiration to me. Wonderful that you are taking the risk and I look forward to hearing more.

Best,

Not silly at all! You're telling that to a bunch of folks who spend considerable time hanging out on a guitar forum doing nothing but talking guitars!

Not silly at all. As a child I was rather backward and introverted (some might say I still lean that way). I started lessons at age 9 and threw myself into it. I was absorbed with guitar, and today I largely still am. I don't know how long you've been playing, but your OP leads me to believe (perhaps incorrectly) that you haven't been playing all that long. If that is true, I think you have made wonderful progress. Keep it up. My only complaint about your youtube videos is that I have my volume turned all the way up and still it's a little too quiet. But that is a minor "complaint."
