very, very, very, very nice!!!! exactly what a mando should look like. that sunburst is so rich and deep looking that it has depth to it (much like a great paint job on a car).

thanks for posting.

That is absolutely stunning, beautiful wood and craftsmanship. I was expecting more bling, this is perfect.

Mau, did you change your mind about the cosmetics? This looks different than I recall the plans for your initial mando. Beautiful nonetheless.

Thanks for looking, guys.

This is not "my" mandolin, I only keep it warm while Harvey finishes up the inlays on mine. My mandolin will be more blingy indeed.

WOW. I want one. Last good one I played was a 1952 Gibson F5 and it almost played itself. Good thing for me since I am a guitar player.

Wow... you should come by my shop every time I get something built and do my photography, Great Job!!!

...and yes, I loaned this one so Mau could get all the "rookie" scratches out before I let him have the pretty one

but seriously... the new one will have a tiny bit more bling...

You did an amazing job with the headstock inlay, Harvey. Truly comes to life under a bit of lighting...

I can assure you this mandolin looks rather "classic" in person -- I just like taking photos with lots of contrast...

Harvey/Mau,
That is the most beautiful sunburst I have ever seen on any instrument. Harvey, you are a gifted man. Mau, where's the freakin' video of you playing it....You know the rules, young man: No video, it didn't happen.

Jimmy
