New AGF app for iOS and Android

Only problem so far (which is why I abandoned Tapatalk) is that I do everything through the Today On AGF section, but it's always blank on this app

It's got some hefty permission requirements.
I'm curious how "reading your contacts" "Finding accounts on device" and "modifying SD card contents" enhances the user experience.

I wasn't comfortable with the permissions either but installed it then immediately removed it when I was reminded of the other reason I stopped using TapaTalk:

Every time someone comments or quotes me I get a audible alert and notification on my lock screen. So all day during meetings at work my phone is blowing up because this rabidly announces every comment and I couldn't figure out how to disable that.

On the off chance you have an iPhone go to Settings -- Notifications -- TapaTalk -- Off. It never gives an alert.

On Android: Settings, Notifications, Acoustic Guitar Forum - Block all Notifications.

Had it on now for a week or so, but really find no pressing need to use it. I do other things on my phone when I'm out and about. AGF can wait till I'm home.

Just removed it. Can always download it again if some need arises.

Love the new app! It's a great improvement over Tapatalk, and it sure beats trying to navigate the AGF through Safari on my phone.

I never knew about that section "today on the AGF" but I see it now using the web browser.

In Tapatalk and on the webbrowser, I always check in to "New Posts" and this seems to be a duplication of "today on the AGF".

All that said, the new AGF app doesn't seem to have the NEW POSTS option, I have to use the main Tapatalk app and navigate to the AGF within and then to New Posts.
I'm having the same blank page result with the "today on..." section inside the tapatalk app. (error message references a server disconnect).

so much for a perfect world dream.....hahaha

Sign in, tap on thread you want to post in. Tap on the open block at the bottom that says, "Write a reply," then click the + with a circle around it on the left. Tap the second-from-left icon that looks like a picture of mountains and choose the photos you'd like from your phone's selection.
