Travis, Really nice looking guitar!! Love the burst on the neck. I hope when you get this guitar done you get some sound clips or videos up so we can all hear the tone. If this one is as good tonally as some of your others I've played, this should be an amazing guitar.

Beautiful, the back and especially the side wood is STUNNING. I also like the blend you did on the neck near the body to transition into the lighter neck. It is really good.

Thanks Mike, Maybe I can get this down in your neck of the woods when it is done and you can hear it in person. Better yet, I could record you playing it and post it here

Thanks Tom, I can't wait to get some finish on this one. The colors are coming together really well on this one.

It has been a while since I have posted any progress on this build. Funny how little things like painting a house can take all ones free time. Believe me, I would rather be building guitars or just about anything for that matter instead of painting.
The other reason for not posting is I sprayed the finish on it and have been waiting for it to cure.

So while I was waiting on the finish, I made the bridge out of Macassar ...

I installed the bridge and cut the saddle slot

Installed the frets and tuners..

Just about time to get this one strung up. It is my first Ziricote guitar so I am anxious to hear how this one turns out. Ziricote sure makes a beautiful guitar and I hope it sounds half as good as it looks.

Hey Travis, that looks better every time I see it. As several of us have said before, the rosette is awesome. I also love the headstock; both the shape and the faceplate wood. Tuner buttons match nicely, too. Oh yeah, and it's ZIRICOTE...great job!

Travis, WOW!! That is looking great. Can't wait to play it and hear some of that great tone I've heard in some of your others. You have appointed it beautifully, and yes the rosette is really special...kudos to your design team

I got this build strung up today. It sounds fantastic and it is going to be a hard one to let go. Here are a few finished pictures...

Travis, that looks great. Glad to hear it is done and I'm anxious to hear it. I really like the design of the rosette...a desert sunset comes to mind.

Also, it seems like you said a friend was getting it?? Maybe you get this one, and he/she can get the next one??

Whatever the case, congratulations on a gorgeous guitar!

Thanks, I sprayed KTM-9 which is a water base clear gloss. It was pretty easy to work with as I am new to spraying. In the past I french polished shellac but wanted something a little more durable without all the problems of spraying lacquer.

Very beautiful Travis! The guitar as a whole is totally stunning, but for some reason I keep focusing on the rosette! I really love the looks of that and how it seems to tie things together. Great job. That is a winner.
