I made this 'Nordic' mandola for a friend a while ago. It has a low A and individual capos all over the place. Designing the head was quite a 'headache'!

Ahh yes I believe I had that bit of info at the back of my brain some where haha Joel knows that I would fancy such exotic appointments and he's not wrong. I absolutely love what he has done for this build!!

Oh wow that makes so much more sense for a bass!

Default Tuners too? Yip.

Hand tooled Rodgers tuners. Joel asked me to mention that every aspect of these are custom from spacing, engraving, and buttons. Joel was totally impressed with Robs skill and professionalism.

Just look at these things...

I have had nothing but positive things to say about working with Rob Rodgers and his tuners. I have worked with him on a number of projects over the last four years to both customize the shaft sleeves to make them less ornate and also on custom inlays.

You are going to love them Marcus...

It's nearly completed!! I will be meeting Joel in 2 weeks time to pick this baby. I'm not sure what I'm more excited about, getting my guitar or meeting the man himself! I'm absolutely taken by what Joel is building for me. And yes Josh, my mind is blown

Here is Michi Matsuda's version of the integrated Drop D capo.

What would really make life easier for guitarists is an integrated headstock that can drop down across the strings from standard into DADGAD or any other alternate tuning of the guitarist's choice and back again...

Not sure if I understand you correctly but that sounds a bit like what a spider capo could be used to achieve? Or do you mean something like the locking tuners that Michael Manring uses?

If you didn't already notice, the capo can actually slide between the 0 and -1 fret as well as being able to be completely taken off to expose the -2 fret. Joel himself is a banjo player and this build is quite a nod towards the banjo world.
