Default Irish folk song thread

Share your Irish folk songs, instrumental pieces are fine too.

This is Whiskey You're The Devil by Tommy Makem and The Clancy Brothers. I taught my friends the song many years ago when we were 17/18 and we would blare it out on the streets of Edinburgh drunk at one in the morning.

I’m not sure who originally did this but I know the Clancy Brothers had done it.

Default The Parting Glass

I believe this song originated in Scotland going back to something like 1605, but today it's also one of Ireland's favorite folk songs. The Clancy Brothers popularized this song in Ireland in their 1959 album "Come Fill Your Glass with Us."

Default The South Wind

Some say it's anonymous, but has also been credited to 'Freckled Donal McNamara' who in the 1700's was homesick for his County Mayo home.

'Taran' guitar in DADGAD with Capo on 4th

Here’s Wild Mountain Thyme
I’m told that it is Scottish, so I’ve deleted the video.

Here's a short my version of "The South Wind" which is followed by my own Celtic style composition, "Breezin' Up" which I created to accompany this classic tune. Done in DADGAD of course!

This possibly an English folk song but is popular in Ireland. I love The Dubliners version. Warning - contains a wee sweary word.

Edit: it is Irish after all according to Wikipedia
