Thanks everyone for your kind replies and lovely words.

Thought I'd share this little 2-minute commissioned piece so you can get even more of a feel for the sound of this instrument:

The TAB is also available as a free download by clicking here should you wish to give it a bash!

With all the very best,

Will

Some time back, I was wandering around in the thickets of YouTube, when I stumbled across an episode of Tommy's Tonewoods- wherein Tom Sands gave us a show of some fabulous guitar tonewoods from his shop, and some highly insightful and well-spoken explications of lutherie arcana. Being a luthier myself, I was instantly drawn in with great enthusiasm, and subscribed to Tom's channel after the first view. From the start, I felt a fraternal kinship with Tom. He struck all the right chords.

Then as I got deeper into Tom's videos, the experience became sublimely mystical, when Tom was showing a new guitar, and his great friend Will showed what those guitars could do. Will's playing is mesmerizing. It's revelatory and magical. The sounds he conjured on Tom's guitars were absolutely ravishing.

So I'm along for the ride, long-term. I come away each time, feeling so uplifted by this combination of two prodigious talents, synergizing with such otherworldly grace and style. Such an abundant wellspring of genius flowing from both of these guys- I feel like quitting my day job and going on the road to evangelize for Tom Tom Sands and Will McNicol. I want everyone to experience this!

Gorgeous guitar, Will. Enjoy it!

Curious, what does Tom use for a neck joint?

Tom told me he uses Zig Zags for all his joints.

I asked Tom and he had the following to say: "It’s a double bolt on, two into the neck heel and then two up through the headblock and into a block on the underside of the fingerboard. Quite a common method these days."

And here's a picture of a neck he was working on recently (not the one from my guitar) but it gives you an idea:

I most certainly am! And to that point, I've just released my first single on said guitar. For those interested in giving it a listen and a watch, here it is:

Thanks enormously, and have a lovely weekend =)
