For those of you who have a Mini, there's an option of getting strap buttons installed at the heel and neck -- do you find these necessary?
Between the Ovangkol, Mahogany, and Rosewood, which one do people find the loudest? Is that the R? Thanks! |

I have the Rosewood Mini. After demoing all 3 wood combos it was clear to me that the Rosewood was the loudest, and also the nicest sounding, to me at least. I have a leather headstock strap button loop that i fitted beyond the nut, under the strings. No drilling required, it serves the purpose well and it looks great.

Thanks! When you say you have a loop beyond the nut on the headstock, is the other end attached to a strap button on the lower bout (where a pickup jack would be?)
