The $12 OnStage one I had had a really cheap plastic ring holding the screen material, it broke down near the area where it joins the gooseneck, and no amount of glue would keep it together.

I'm not sure if that's humor or a serious question, if the latter, the answer is 'no.' Pop screens are to tame the plosives that sometimes occur when a singer makes t, k, p, d, g, & b sounds.

Both of them stay where they're put, don't affect the sound negatively, and are easy to clean. I see the BLUE on sale all the time. Although a bit more expensive I prefer the JZ model.

My TC Helicon ( made by Sennheiser ) MP-76 has something exactly like this insert built into it . It's removable - yes you can clean it .
