I will often mic using a Sure SM 81 (or 2) into my recording setup, a MOTU Track 16, and monitor with phones.
I also have a Rode NT2 on a broadcast desk stand so there is bleed through from that. I can record or rehearse in my studio in the wee hours and bother no one.
