What is the guy where is located in between the leg and the guitar called?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DaJt5sIl1-k I see more and more people using it? How does it compare with the traditional foot rest? The pros and cons? Thanks! |

It's a guitar support, but I'm not sure if it's an ErgoPlay. It looks more triangular to me, but it's a little too far out of frame to tell for sure.
I posted this in another thread yesterday, but I like StringsByMail's selection. They sell most of the ones on the market and have a decent comparison chart. https://www.stringsbymail.com/guitar...-supports-386/ The pros are that you can adjust the angle and height while leaving your feet planted on the ground. To me that's a more stable position and easier on the back. Another may be that it's easier to transport than a footstool, depending on the design. A con might be that some work better than others at staying attached to the guitar. A lot may depend on the finish of your guitar if you are using one with suction cups, but there are ways to mitigate that. I personally prefer the Sagework/Barnett support because it attaches with magnets and has a very ergonomic saddle. I have a few ErgoPlays too (Professional & Tappert), which attach with suction cups and I like those too. Last edited by MojoRisin; 08-22-2017 at 02:37 PM. |
