Default Forum User Names

Some AGF user names are straightforward names of people. Many others are strange and interesting user names. Others are just downright weird and make no sense at all.

My user name is Guitar George. I chose this name because I like guitars and my name is George. Plain and simple. I am not the Guitar George mentioned in the Dire Straits recording, Sultans of Swing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Il8ZC3O64AU

How did you come up with your user name?

I tried using my full legal name, Wade Hampton Miller, but the forum software told me that that someone else was already using it ( ?!? ). So I settled for my first and middle names, which is how my South Carolina relatives always addressed me, anyway: “Hey, Wade Hampton, how you be?”

It works well enough...

Wade Hampton Miller

I'll let you guess how I came up with mine..... it's just my name, of course. Why go with that? I've put a little thought into Internet anonymity, and the behavioural tendencies anonymity seems to induce - and just made a choice to not be anonymous. Not judging anyone at all, and I don't feel strongly about my choice either, just a decision I made one day a few years ago.

My initials. Not real creative but easy to remember which is important when you're beating at the door of 70 years....

My name is my online name, also known as my personal porno name.

If you are interested in how to create your very own porno name, it is done by combining your first pet's name, with the name of the first street you lived on.

Hence my dear first dog Duffy, and the first street I lived on Hardie = DuffyHardie.

It's the Australian way!

So, are you saying you don't know all the chords?

I chose mine because I love to play in the duple meters (like 6/8, for instance).

I often say that if I ever got a vanity license plate for my car it would be "3 FLATS" and then I would chuckle because most people would not pick up on the fact that it is a reference to the key of Eb major (which has 3 flats in the key signature).

So, I'm weird like that. And, I probably will never get a vanity plate...because I hate standing in line at the DMV.

It is my stage name, a double pun no one ever gets. Which demonstrates my innocence; I thought everyone would get it.

Still puzzled? Oh you city folks.

1) 'Bard" as in Shakespeare ;"Rocks" as in up tempo. With me so far?
2) "Barred Rocks" as in the breed of chicken. (I happen to know a number of chicken songs.) That's where folks get totally lost.

My logo has Shakespeare sitting playing a guitar while surrounded by, you guessed it, Barred Rocks. Even seeing that, most don't get it. And I thought it was real funny as well as clever when I thought of it. Color me naive.
