I heard John Denver do a fairly slow version of Mr Bogangles in about 1970 on one of his early albums, I think, "Whose Garden Was This?" I thought it was great and learned how to play it by playing along with John Denver on the LP. For some reason I still remember this song. I find it poignant.

The guitar is my 1972 Guild F212, which I have since given to my oldest son who is loving it. I now have an F512 and found that I really wasn't playing two 12-strings.
