I loved it Glenn! It's a crowd pleaser whenever I do it too. I'd like to hear you play something on the new F512.

[Lucky me, I found your "Softly" recording with the F512!]

I heard John Denver do a fairly slow version of Mr Bogangles in about 1970 on one of his early albums, I think, "Whose Garden Was This?" I thought it was great and learned how to play it by playing along with John Denver on the LP. For some reason I still remember this song. I find it poignant.

The guitar is my 1972 Guild F212, which I have since given to my oldest son who is loving it. I now have an F512 and found that I really wasn't playing two 12-strings.

Thanks so much for listening!

Hi Dave,

Thank you for your comments! I'm glad you liked it and that you also have some history with this song. And I'm glad you found the "Softly" recording with the F512. I am getting myself ready to record Jim Croce's "I've Got a Name" with my new F512. I always mess up the words in that song!

Very nice GW. Even the singing. I don't sing so I play a version of that song that I stole....er, borrowed parts from Chet Atkins' version. I've always loved that song.

Great voice!

You should cover some Johnny Cash or Elvis; would suit your voice perfectly, I think =P

Super version, Glenn! There are many covers that you'd do great justice to. I'd like to hear you do a Harry Chapin song.

Hi Tom,

I always liked Harry Chapin's stuff but have never tried to cover any of his songs. Thanks for the suggestion -- I should try to see how his music fits me! And thank you so much for listening and taking the time to comment!
