Blackbird Steel Rider
Saw a Blackbird Steel Rider in person for the first time while on a family vacation in Savannah, Georgia. It's a tiny thing but the sound isn't tiny. I was amazed at the low end. He was fingerpicking outdoors in Forsyth park and was playing lots of bass runs. Even in that environment it was hard to believe the tight low end that was emanating from the instrument. The high end was more difficult to judge in the noisy area. Well anyway, it's on my short list of guitars to buy. What a great travel guitar it would make. It's pricey though.

Played one at NAMM, fantastic little guitars but a twice the cost of Cargo it's a hard sell. Maybe they'll come out with a RAW finish. Hint Hint

True. I'd like to hear them side by side. That's not likely as nobody carries both. Actually the Blackbird is only carried by 2 or 3 music shops nationwide. I heard (didn't get to play due to a broken wrist) a cargo in a music store in Nashville (Gruhn's guitars). It was nice but I don't remember the bass catching my attention. It would be a nice worry free travel guitar however.
