Good Deal on a Condenser Microphone
For anyone looking for a condenser, this is a good deal on a good microphone.

http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/sEX1A I don't consider a 2/3" diaphragm a 'large' DC, though. Not really in favor of a 100Hz low cut (hi-pass), that's a little low for a start point, but you'd have to look at the frequency curve. My go-to is an AKG P220 (I've got the older model) for $150 it includes a nice metal carrying case and spider-style shock mount. here's the AKG's specs including frequency chart: http://cloud.akg.com/10568/1398353960947_688_6.pdf Oops, to add, here is the seX1A spec page: http://www.seelectronics.com/se-x1a-mic The low cut really starts at 160 Hz on it and it is only -6dB per octave, compared to the AKG's -12dB And not to disparage sE's marketing, but for vocals, always use a pop filter!

Everyone has a different definition of good. Mine starts at Shure SM 81 and goes up from there.
