Bob,

Would you be updating this thread as soon as those concerts go on sale?

Thanks!

I bought my tickets earlier today. The link is at the bottom of a page , separate from the festival ticket.

You may buy the tickets now by going to http://www.memphisguitarfest.com/EveningEvents.html. Just remember you have to buy festival tickets for these to be valid. Sales are unbelievable. I knew this show would have a big pickup from last year, but had no idea so many would be buying tickets this early!!

Luthiers, don't forget to buy your tickets to the concert and/or Beale Street as well (not the festival tickets).

Looking forward to displaying at the show again in 2017, enjoyed the last one immensely. I will start a guitar to present at the show in the next few weeks.

I am also looking forward to displaying at the Memphis show. I'll be introducing my Bacchus baritone model there as well as some new design work, such as the marquetry that I am exploring right now. It will be great to meet in person many of the AGFrs that I've come to know over the years.

I think it will also be a good opportunity to answer the question some seem to have on whether I only take good pictures of guitars!

So when you guys and gals registered, did you get any email confirmation from either paypal or the festival? I got confirmation numbers from paypal but no email confirmation. The TE tickets came up as "sample" on the paypal confirmation vs. saying TE...I emailed the festival and have not received a reply either.

I think the PayPal receipt will be fine and am only going to worry if I haven't had some kind of communication within a few months.

The update post mentioned an unexpected high volume of early response and I will guess that it's just a staffing schedule issue.

I got one receipt from the festival in response to the tickets for the festival. Bob wrote to ask for the other person coming along so a name tag could be ready. (nice!). The bus ride and the TE concert were paypal receipted, but not by the festival at this moment.
When I wrote to Bob on those tickets (TE and bus) he indicated that, "yes" he'd seen that". This was just yesterday. So far, he's been super responsive so it seems likely that you'll hear more. Meanwhile Paypal receipt does indicate the TE and bus items paid for.

Thanks Amy and Iguitar....you must have more pull than I as I have emailed Bob and not heard back, but a good chance he will. What worried me was it was the first day the Tommy tickets were on sale and it only said "sample" on the paypal receipt. I just wanted to get it squared away, before the concert sells out and then I find out my purchase was not credited....worry wart I guess.

Default Memphis / Edwinson guitars

So the other day I made a post about meeting the builder of my custom Edwinson guitar and called him Steve Edwinson and what a great guy he was and how I was looking forward to meeting other luthiers like him at the Memphis show next June. Unfortunately, I suffered brain fade while writing that post, his name is Steve Sheriff, and he really is a great guy and a great guitar builder.

Okay, I got tix for TE and HRC. It would be nice if one could bundle them all and check out once. Maybe in the future?
