Default Benjamin Paldacci Guitars - 2016: SBAIC Video OO-12 No.6 & OM No.7

This year, I decided to talk about my work differently. You'll find some random pics of my different projects in this thread.

Santa Barbara Acoustic Instrument Celebration is the principal goal for me this year, and I'll build two instruments:

- OM: Malaysian Blackwood & Carpathian Spruce

- OO 12 Frets: Indian RW & Bearckaw Salvaged sitka spruce

I'll upgrade this text everytime I'll have a new project, thanks for all your support guys!

Thanks Bob,

I needed to catch some of the best sets of my stash! I bought them 2.5 years ago, they are super dry and sound wonderfully.

It is a Jumbo set and I can remove a lot of sapwood, and use it for the inlays

Backs for the OO and OM, Ready to receive their bracings! I wanted to stay "classic" for the OO, and fancy for the OM. Like that, I can satisfy much more customer at the SBAIC!

Wenge inlay for the OM, black ebony for the OO.

I'm very happy how it turned out for the wenge one, nothing's more satisfying that handworking

Been a while I haven't posted some pics, building 3 guitars at the same time is pretty exciting, but very consuming in terms of time

Yes Bill, I love this set too! I still have 3 of them:

King: I have been graduated at the National School of Lutherie of Quebec City, in 2013. I've never been in any apprenticeship after and before that

Nice selections from your stash bro! I'm really looking forward to play both of these guitars in October. I'll have two for you to sample as well.

Very nice!

Question: you can see purfling around the headstock, under the veneer. Is that a whole sheet of purfling the same size as the veneer, covering the whole headstock, or did you route a channel and put purfling in just a fraction of an inch?
