Being unhappy with your progress doesn’t mean you suck. And making mistakes - many mistakes - is normal. I’ve been playing for decades, and sometimes when I’m recording a lead guitar part - to a song I wrote, and know exactly what I want to play - I have to delete the track 15 or more times because of sloppy playing. It can be frustrating, but you have to take a deep breath and let it go.
