Hi, thanks for that. Sky Arts channel has some very good programmes, but I hadn't seen this one.
I have no great affection for electric guitars - too many years in the drummer's seat having my ears battered by them maybe, however I see in Knopfler and gifted songwriter and observer, and a very melodic guitar playing style - another left hander playing righty seemingly. I have seen Steve Philips playing and spoken to him briefly. He told me that the one album they made - bought him his house in Robin Hood's Bay - just a few miles south of Whitby. I've been ther a couple of times - nice area! John Illsely, now lives down in the south and is a frind of a friend although I've not met him.
