14 to 15th fret is about the position of the infamous " Fender Hump " not sure exactly the cause, (I just play the things) but its thought to be something to do with the thickening of the neck at the heel and uneven shrinkage as the wood dries The heel being thicker dries and moves at a slower rate than the rest of the neck.
Its easy to check with a straight edge, if it rocks at around the 15th fret its got the hump If its not too bad a simple fret level will put it right, any worse then it will need the frets pulled and the board shooting level I realise yours is not a Fender but being the same basic design its possible it could have the same problem. Might be totaly wrong here but its worth checking |
