With a broken heart, the battled soldier in me fight on, hoping that an equally good alternate proposal will appear.

Nice Sean came back to me with this, and what do you guys think? :

Looks just as good to me, Jimmy. I wouldn't feel it's any less beautiful, that's for sure.

There's two drapes running down the veneer that look like the star banners of the confederate flag. My woman first told me the veneer looks like a flag and the confederate flag came to my mind.

If that is what you see haha, who am I to say differently....I have been accused of seeing a lot of weird stuff in the grain of wood. Once I saw a bear dressed up like a cop in the back of a custom build and once I pointed it out to everyone that was all they could see hahaha. I was afraid I had ruined the guitar for the new owner, but fortunately once the finish was on, it was not as obvious!!!!

If you hold it just right, it should be your reflection and the big smile on your face.

I prefer the other one, Jimmy. That said, the darker grain on the lower half of this latest one does appear what seems like flames to me. Pretty cool. I still prefer the other one though, but you can't go wrong with either. Tough decision.

Either one of these after clear coating is applied is going to look spectacular, IMO.
