Default **Sold elsewhere** - 1994 Bourgeois "Banjo Killer" Slope D - #000131

Thanks to everyone for looking and for the trade offers. Guitar is now sold.

This is a slope shouldered dreadnought that Bourgeois would later name Banjo Killer. It was made in 1994, early in the numerical tracking of Bourgeois guitars as evidenced by the guitar number. The guitar has the bear claw sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides. It is extremely robust and sturdy feeling. It is definitely not the lightest acoustic I've ever held. But this guitar is extremely fun to play and does great across the spectrum.

It is a player's guitar and has some noticeable scars and issues, including some nicks in the top wood, sides, back and headstock, wiring for the pickup that can be seen (and likely easily removed) and what appears to be a glue stain that is visible in the sound hole. And the pickup doesn't function properly and I have never used as anything but an unplugged acoustic.

Please let me know if you have any questions or would like any additional pictures. Thanks for looking.

Originally was asking $2,400 but price is now $2,000 shipped to CONUS. Still open to trades but unfortunately I haven't found the right guitar to make a trade happen.

I concur.

Smile Nice old Bogie!

I had one from the same era, but an OM in the same woods. It was a killer axe. The new owner is still gigging it regularly. These old Bourgeois are very cool! Dana had it going on already!

Best on this

Cheers. Paul

Thanks for the kind comments. Glad the video has been helpful and well received. The guitar is still available. While I've had some interesting trade offers I would still prefer to sell outright. Feel free to make an offer if you have interest.
