Default Jerry Donahue Telecaster

Anyone play one of these?
I'm looking for a new Tele and I like the specs
What are the values of these used?
Thanks

Personal takeaways from one I had:
The nut width was a tad too narrow and the round radius was too round.
The vintage, little, frets are way too low.
The good:
Looks great, Has a killer strat like neck PU and all 5 positions sounds really, really good. The soft V neck felt really nice.

I played a Japanese one a couple years ago. Wasn't for me. Had a real vintage feeling neck I didn't like. Had a 50's feel in shape. Also I wasn't that impressed with the switching options. Neck pickup with or without tone circuit? That's what my treble booster pedal is for

To be honest it would have had to be super special to get me interested. I don't prefer Fender radius necks. I switched to G&L a long time ago because I can get a 12 inch radius without going custom shop.

Edited to add I assume you were talking about the Japanese model and not the USA Customs.

I've played a couple over the years and can echo a lot of what was said above.

The neck profile was not for me, too rounded. If you like the chunkier vintage feel then it may be for you but I feel more comfortable with the profile on my Classic 60s Tele and my US Standard Strat.

The pickup options were nice though if I'm honest I would want to (and did) buy a Strat for the Strat sounds. I can't remember all the pickup combinations but there is something sweet about the classic neck and bridge pickup together that is unbeatable.

If it was my next Tele, I'd be deciding which neck shape and fingerboard profile I like best and start from there.
