That's some great playing and great tone on Angel! Is that Jeff Healey's Angel Eyes? What are you using to get that slight phasing effect?

Yes that was Angel Eyes. I was using the HBII into the MKv. Very good ears! I was using a MXR EVH Phase 90.

A guitar shop local to my parents has a beautiful 2009 McCarty that I've been eying for quite some time, but I want to buy an acoustic first. Great setup, pickups are rockin, feels great...

I'm very interested to try some of the new retro series guitars. I've always loved the design of the Santana signatures. Bought an SE Standard but sold it a few months later, just didn't play the way I wanted.

Overall, I'm a HUGE fan of PRS electrics. Some of the best guitars out there, IMO.

Glen, great playing and tone too! You do a fantastic job with those quick little bends at the end of a phase. Sometimes it's just for a fraction of a second but adds so much depth to the song. Same with the slides.

Do you know any blues riffs?

I got an email a while back from Photobucket mentioning something about pics being posted on forums. What's the scoop on that? I see some pics are missing from this thread ... not sure if that's the issue or if the pics are no longer hosted.

Aside from that, anyone else have any PRS things to share?

Yes PhotoBucket capriciously (without informing anyone prior) decided to no longer host pictures to 3 rd party forums with the Free accounts. They must have thought most or enough of the free account users would simply pony up $300 year to have their forum pic's continue to be hosted. But many like myself simply deleted their accounts and chose another Free hosting service
I switched to 'Imgur"
So here are the pics of My PRS 24 CE

I recently picked up this McCarty 594. I absolutely love it.

Edit: can't get the image to downsize. Will repost later.

Thanks for the info on Photobucket and Imgur. Might have to look at getting an account there.

Beautiful PRS and Surpro!

A friend of mine has a PRS SE standard that I borrowed for about a year and it was a great guitar. I played a lot of shows with it and used it as my primary electric while it was in my possession. I ended up giving it back to him but I should have bought that guitar. Very versatile with a wide range of tones. The clean tone was really smooth.

PRS guitars are excellent, overall, in my experience. I consider them the sleeping giants among all the others when I see them in music stores. And once awakened, they have large personalities.
