Wow Sage you are much younger than I had imagined you so much sage wisdom for someone so young

Seriously that is a actually a pretty good review demo video and the young gentleman is showing enough wisdom to do just enough playing (i.e. short) on each different feature to give a reasonable account without the tendency to play to long that is a problem IMO in many demo video's

Hey Ernie - that's the second video I watched yesterday. The guitar really rocks!

My 2012 Custom 24 is just a hair wider than 1 5/8".

Thanks for the measurement, Jeff. Is it a regular neck (as opposed to thin or wide)?

Dru, this is my Johnny Hiland PRS with a Maple fretboard. There are not many Maple fretboards used by PRS. It has special wound pickups for Johnny Hiland. The 10 tops are gorgeous. -- Darwin

WOW! What a beauty, Darwin. I've never heard of Johnny before so I googled him. He's did session work for some great acts. Did you buy the guitar because you're influenced by him or did the guitar just grab ya?

Johnny's a great player. One was to spot his Signature Model is the inlays. No moons. No birds. Just big black dots on a maple board, high contrast because Johnny is nearly blind.

I'm home today in the music room (aka "the basement of managed expectations") so I figured I'd snap of a pic of my PRetty maidS all in row:

From left to right:
- Zack Myers SE Sig Edition w/ Harmonic Design Z90s in Trampas Green
- McCarty Korina (Brazilian RW board) in Sunburst
- Singlecut 58 Artist w/ 57/08s in Blue Crab Blue

That's weird. The photo is showing up just fine on my browsers. Anyone else?

I've got 2 PRS guitars.

I have an '88 Goltop "Specal", and an '09 10-Top Sunburst DGT.

The DGT is by far the better of the 2. The DGT offers so much in the way of tonal options that the Special just can't cover.

'88 Goldtop "Special":

'09 Sunburst 10-Top DGT:

I've had several PRS guitars thru the years.
But only one remains.

My 2003 PRS McCarty.... Just Love it!

It weighs a tad over 7 lbs and has the wide-fat neck. It's a non-10 top in Blue Matteo color with the bird inlays.

It's been upgraded by PRS with 57/08 pickups.
This guitar will be with me always.
