No need for that. I'm sure they are just tyring be helpful as they were told. If you were in a regular restaurant and after your meal when they were clearing the table and the server asks you "Would you like desert" and your answer was "If I wanted it I would have told you already" (or something close to that), I'm sure that would be taken ( at least I would take it) as a nasty, arrogant response.

Standing at the counter/register for 5 minutes, waiting for someone to take my order or ring up whatever I'm buying, and I finally hear "Are you all set?"

Generally, when someone asks me, "Are You right?" I generally reply, "I'm half left, actually?" There are numerous responses to many of the inane questions asked during the course of the day. Some of them are, at least, funny.
