Default Is it hot where you are?

Here in southern Ontario just above Buffalo on Lake Ontario it's been hot! 40 degrees Celsius which is freakin hot in Fahrenheit. Grass and plants are dead, no breeze and lots of sweat. I love summer but a little rain would work right about now

Around 93 and humid here the last two days. It looks even worse in much of the rest of the country.

The Chicago metro area has been in the mid 80 to low 90's for a week or so. The killer is the humidity which has not dropped below 70% for the duration. Right now it is raining and in the 80's.

I live in the middle of forest preserve thick woods and they retain moisture like a sponge.

Welcome to the jungle!

A half hour ago it was 28.4°C and a thunderstorm rolled through. The temp dropped to 18.7°C. Good sleeping weather now.

93 today, hot and humid and here in upstate NY we are under severe drought conditions.

For the record...its not the humidity its the temperature and ratio to the dew point. We can have 100% humidity in the cold of winter. The higher the dew point the less moisture will evaporate and in the hot summer that will make it feel more muggy. We can have 100% humidity during a snowstorm but it won't feel muggy because them temp and the dew point are low.

You wouldn't be in Sydney itself? Though you wouldn't have to be far up the Great Western to have a bit of snow lying around.

The hills up here (Canberra) copped a bit of a dusting yesterday, some flurries blowing around in town too but nothing settled on the ground. The wind is horrendous.

My son lives in a suburb of San Diego called El Cajon. He said it was 106 degrees there yesterday! OUCH!

Yes, and we now have air conditioning. Never had it before and never thought we would need it at the beach. But, now that its hot we are running it. I know I'll hate my electric bill next month but boy is it nice to have.
