Default Problems posting photos....Help!!!

Hello friends....I know someone told me how to do this once but I can't find the post. What I remember them suggesting and I tried to do tonight was upload photos to flicker, click on the photo so the URL of picture came up, went to the insert image icon, clicked on it, copied URL, and when I previewed the post, all I saw was the (IMG) on both sides of URL but it wasn't in blue like you could click on it ad I noticed that most people post photos without having to click on a URL.

Any ideas what I may be doing wrong?

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Greatly appreciated.

After you pasted the URL into the post, did it show the "http" marker twice?.

Default Posting pix

For some people pix are easy. For others it takes a bit of work.

The only way it works for me is this.

Find the picture in photobucket, Flicker, whatever. Not the thumbnail, the actual full sized picture.

Right click and select Copy Picture URL, or similar.

Go to your post and click on the picture icon.

If there's anything in that box, delete it.

Paste the URL into that box.

Hit OK.

That's the only way that works for me.

YMMV

Best of luck.

I use photobucket. On my iPad Takes about 3 seconds to post a pic. Click on the pic. Click on the img code, says copied, come here to post, touch the screen, then touch copy....boom..done

I find it easier to post a photo from the Tapatalk app rather than fooling around with a third party like Photo Bucket. Not that the third party route doesn't work...its just more cumbersome.

I use an iPhone and an iPad, so I have no idea what's best for other devices.

I know we are all on different systems. For me its Windows 7.

Try clicking on the "Insert Image" and REMOVE " http:// " part thats already in the box.
Then paste the photo as you did before.

if you haven't figured it out form the other posts, post what you did before, error and all, and someone will show you the problem.

I will try Photobucket instead if Flickr and see if that helps. Thanks for the advice.

I am also going to try using this app as well as photobucket. I should be posting pics by end of day. Thanks for the advice.

That is good advice and I will do that if none of the above methods work. You guys are all amazing for taking the time to help another member. Humbles me.

FunkenBlues, These guys are hijacking your thread as an excuse to post images of their guitars.

Even if they did, I don't sweat the small stuff in life anymore. Read my very first post and you will know why.

Still testing Flickr to get photos online.

I have tried everything and this is what shows up when I try to post a photo.

Make sure you have the URL of the image only. It should be a JPEG or GIF file.

Just posted this from Tapatalk in about five seconds. I posted directly from the photos on my iPad. No need for Flicker, Photobucket or any other hosting site.

FunkenBlues: Thanks, was just trying to post a picture. I struggle both with taking good photos plus getting them posted. At 74 years, I came late to the electronic tech age. Find myself fumbling quite a bit. Take care.

Flickr is kind of easy. When on the photo hit the arrow (share) button on the bottom right. Then, hit the BBcode tab and just copy and paste that into here. No need to use the picture icon button here.
