NGD Peerless Monarch Custom 16"
I received my new Peerless a few days ago and I'm already in love with it. It's my first archtop. I've only played it through my Fishman Loudbox Mini and it sounds pretty good. I'm going to have to buy a tube amp to really get the best out of it. I bought it from Lou at Guitars n' Jazz. Being that it's my first archtop, I had a lot of questions and Lou was great. He was very patient and answered all of my questions. It was a peasure dealing with him. Anyway, here she is:

Thank you. It does sound great even on my Loudbox Mini. I'm going to have to buy a better (tube) amp.

Tubes
Quote:
Tubes only sound better when you "know" it is a tube. I played in a pit band a few years ago. I was playing my Gibson ES175 I was using a old Fender Deluxe box with a solid state Sidekick 65 modified to fit in the Deluxe box. From a distance it looks like a blackface tube fender. After the show the sound guy ( a self proclaimed expert on tube sound ) said to me "You just can't beat those old tube amps. I said no you can't, and never told him it wasn't tubes. In conclusion If it looks like a tube amp and you believe it's a tube amp then it will sound like a tube amp. I have spent 39 years servicing industrial electronics so I know a little about electronics. I really like my Loudbox Mini and would never trade it for one of those stone age, hot, heavy tube amps.

Others can see the pics so it must be something on your end.
