My Boogie rep emailed us about this a few weeks ago and after reading the first 10 words of the email, I had my initial order in. I can't wait to hear these.

From what I can tell so far, this is strictly for guitar...can't do vocals?

They came out with a new rosette preamp pedal. Looks great too.

There is a video with guitar and vocals. The end of the video shows vocals and sounds pretty good.

Looks and sounds promising to me. Did anyone notice a good amount of compression. Might have been from the recording mic or my ears fool me. Seems to have most of what any of us would use for gigging solo or in a band.

Can you use the channel 1 to use with tc helicon acoustic (guitar + voice) and the 2nd channel for another voice?

Mesa? Acoustic amp?
From the manual and what I can hear on the video, it does look promising.
And it's Mesa. So I'm counting on that quality of build and tone. We will see.

No doubt, yes.

If you have a dynamic mic (doesn't need phantom power), you could use it in CH2 with a 1/4 adapter.

Does Mesa have a showroom in Petaluma? I am in that area next week. Would love to hear it live!

At the other extreme, I plug my guitar directly into my DBR10 and it sounds great (just a volume knob ignoring the sliders for FOH vs. monitor and w/wo sub).

Our mixer wall wart died at a gig last year and we did exactly that; each guitar direct into one of the RCA jacks and the mics summed into a single XLR with a Y cable. I thought it sounded just fine. Our instruments and pedals have all the usual controls (GE7 for my partner and a ToneDEQ for me).

Too many knobs to me make an impractical setup for a gig where I want to set up quickly and enjoy playing.
