Default Best Acoustic Guitar You've Ever Heard

What, in your opinion, is the best acoustic guitar you've ever heard?

Was it a specific players guitar used on an album? A guitar you bought? Heard once in a store? On Youtube? etc... Soundclips are a plus!

Here are a few favorites of mine from the dreamguitars website. I own the third one down:

Some folks will mention a really high end guitar that no one else ever played, a bunch of them will mention a classic (e.g. Martin D18GE) and the others will mention a cheap guitar that "beats the high end stuff by a mile".

Pierre Bensusans Ryan, played by him.

Nicest sound I have ever heard when I'm playing is from a stonebridge OM that I'm trying to figure out how to afford.

My 1979 Ramirez 1a. When I played it for the first time my wife commented that it was the best sounding she had heard. When I heard my son-in-law play it I realized it had a beautiful sound. It's the only guitar I've ever seen that will obviously resonate to sounds in the room. I don't play it as much as others I own, but I always look forward to hearing it every time.

What a wonderful sounding guitar! There is "magic" in that combination of Braz & Adi....

YHMD -- Your Hearing May Differ (I said that)

I also like #4 -- I have a Braz & Eng. myself... Not a bad combo either....

I only remember the performances, never the instruments played.

I was just fin to say my Martin D18GE. Awesome guitar and without question the very best I've ever played.

Well that's the one thing about the dreamguitars.com website clips, the performances tend to be pretty consistent such that you can hear each of the individual guitars. IMHO, a wonderful resource.

Yeah it is great for sure.

That #4 is tempting!

There are a couple of clips from Dream Guitars that are forever etched in my memory (both from 2-3 years ago) - one Applegate and one McIlroy. The Applegates are forever out of my price range which makes that McIlroy my "dream guitar".

You didn't ask about looks, but in the looks department, I give it to Matthew Mustapick hands-down. Simply works of art. They sound great to boot! But alas, far above anything I can afford.
