Effects Chain
I have a new amp where I can use an effects chain without going direct into the preamp of the amplifier. I have always placed all my effects before the preamp, even when I had the option of using an effects loop....
I have read that there are some effects (overdrive, distortion, compression) that should still be placed before the preamp and that there are other effects (chorus, delay, flanger, tremelo, looping) that should use the effects loop. Is this true? What do you do? Any insight into this issue is appreciated.

Recently, I started putting my chorus into the effects loop... I like the sound much better... it doesn't seem to be "pushed" so hard... it just comes out sounding cleaner. If my other amps had that option I would use it.
I think I also read someplace about "which ones go where" -- and your listing looks right to me. Hope this helps....
