Default Annual production # for Rainsong & Composite Acoustic?

A bit curious. Anyone know the ball park figures for the annual production numbers for both Rainsong and CA guitars?

Thanks!

It is really small compared to the wood producers. I think a 1000 a year.

If you look at the total production of carbon guitars it is just such a small total of all guitars made in a year. Really so little penetration of the total market. Peavey's goal is probably to change that.

On another forum they said they are producing 3 guitars a day. I think the old CA was at over 10 a day.

Kinda cool that Rainsong and Blackbird are like small luthier shops!

There is truth to the statement that all the Carbon makers currently are like boutique makers. Peavey may be putting themselves in a position to change that. Time will tell. I

Seems to me after talking to the Big Guys involved that RainSong, Blackbird, and Emerald understand business and guitars, a good combination, so as not to spread themselves too thin and looking at the long term which helps us all. Need them to stay in business.. Sure they are Pioneers .. real smart ones who love what they do. Lucky us!
Just typing out loud here.

My guess is there were no more than a few thousand carbon guitars built last year between all the builders, about the same number as all the better known boutique built guitars combined.

Interesting. I talked to one of the bigger carbon guitar dealers at NAMM and he told me they only got three CA's all of 2011. If your source is correct than CA is planning to double the number of carbon guitars that will be available to us in 2012.

i've heard that CA has just finished doing the moulds for all the models and now they are starting to produce them in a steady way. also, it's heard almost everyday that guitars are hitting the shops. it seems that during this year they will finally stablish their production

but i've also heard that Emerald and Blackbird are improving their facilities and seems likely that they also will improve their production numbers.

of course, let's not forget that the market obviously has an impact on those numbers. right now, i know Emerald and Blackbird have a serious backorder! the demand is such that they can't produce enough!
