That just comes from the soul. He's in the groove, maybe it's not a song that should be duplicated. It's great when you can get lost in the music like that.

i'd begin by loosening up my neck.

seems like he is throwing up lots of very fast, very short, down-up-down strokes. on the video it kind of looks like one down stroke with his arm, but his wrist and fingers are getting the extra strum in.

Each beat divides into three. He starts strumming down, up, down on each beat. This is quite frenetic. After a while he strums down on the first part and up on the third. This is easier to do. Then he starts singing.

Super basic, really. Just practice strumming triplets.

D-U-D, U-D-U, etc...

While counting them like 1-2-3, 1-2-3, etc.

The first chord sounds like A. He has the capo on the second fret and it looks like he could be playing some form of G shape.

Even to forget about the strumming, I can't seem to get this intro right?

I think he's using his hair to hit the bass notes.

This guy needs to be checked for concussions after each song and could have a shortened career (LOL). Actually I see a lot of energy being wasted and in the very beginning a lot of non efficient strumming at first. As he starts to sing I see him get a more relaxed arm and takes better advantage of his strumming. Other than that I am not all the impressed of his playing IMHO.
