I've tried learning before but I really need some help. What is a good, cheap, and fairly reliable acoustic guitar to learn with? I'm on a tight budget so I can't afford anything more than $150 or so. I see these cheap ones online that come with a tuner, pic, etc.

Also, what us your opinion about the quickest or best way to learn? (By tabs or notes)

Cool

Welcome to forum...

A good guitar is one that you will use/practice with. If you spend very little $$$ and get a funky guitar it will hurt your fingers so bad, plus sound bad and you will likely give it up (again). We have all been there.

If you have a friend who knows about guitars go to some local stores and check out and PLAY all you can. Listen to your friend play the guitar you are considering.

Consider buying USED...good deals out there. Check out CL and do lots of online looking at EvilBay to get an idea of what you get for what price.

Enjoy the search...it should be fun not a pain!

Yeah I was wanting a decent used guitar. There's a local guitar shop I'm going to check out.

I've seen some deals on reverb.com also. The Yamaha FG700 is close to your budget. It's highly recommended here. Good luck!

You might also want to consider the FS700S. Same as the FG, but a smaller (folk/OM) sized body as opposed to a dreadnought and as such would probably be more comfortable to hold.

Thanks. This is all good information. I don't know enough to know the differences in these models and all. Now I wish I knew the easiest way to learn. (Notes or tabs etc.)

To answer part two of your question, the best way to learn on a budget (of zero ) is Justin Guitar.

+1 for Justin Guitar. I only wish it was out when I first started playing back in the day.

There are some good deals. But shipping can bet expensive.
Try the "shop by city" function. And see if there is anything near you.

Do you have friend that has been playing guitar several years? Perhaps they can help guide you to a good value once you are ready to narrow the field to a handful. They can check the guitar out to assure you are not buying $150 worth of fire wood, a costly mistake. Best to find the right guitar the first time.
