Smile K & K new sound hole pick up

I have seen a new K & K sound hole pick up well it's not really new as such I think it's a re designed ultra pure preamp which works alongside a K & K pure mini . It has volume bass mid treble and phase button.

Anyone ever u used one?
And are they any good. .? It's a bit like the Baggs anthem. Cost around £175 UK pounds.

Mr Blues, are you talking about the K&K "Double Helix" Pick Up that will out in June? It's on the front page of their website with a video demonstration.

Wow. Haven't seen that one before . No this one is shaped like the LR Baggs Anthem but it's black and red. It slots in like the anthem and it connects to the K & K Pure Mini.

The vid of the sound whole pick up sounded like....A sound whole magnetic pick up to me, with way to much reverb to get a true sense of how the guitar sounds. Magnetic pick ups have there place and some love them. If you like the sound then go for it. I would think it up lives to K&K's quality standards.

I like this set up

If you like the K&K sound (which I do) then it is a matter of whether you have issues with having the pre amp and battery in the guitar.

Some folks believe having all the stuff on board has an impact on the unplugged sound. I find something like this to be another tool for the gigging musician who wants a plug and play set up. K&K does have external Pre-amp options
According to K&K they are coming out with dual source (Mini and Mic) sound whole pre-amp. Not sure when that is coming out.

You should be able to find hundreds of vids on the K&K mini. That's all it is. The difference is the controls are neatly tucked inside the sound hole at your fingertips. K and K never has done that before. That's convenient to some.
