Default Reunion Blues and Mono Gig Bags

I have contacted both companies in reards to developing some gig bags for the Rainsong Shorty and Parlor, and small carbon fiber guitars in general. Both were very nice and responded. Mono has no plans to introduce any smaller sized gig bags for acoustic guitars. Reunion Blues is developing several new gig bags, and Daryl said they love to get input from customers.

So, if you get a chance, zip RB an email:

Have you tried a Shorty in the Mono Classical size bag? I thought someone mentioned it before as a fit for the Shorty. I own that exact bag and have carried my Rainsong OM1000 in it. The RS OM body is a perfect fit - the neck can't be any longer. Seems like the Mono should fit the Shorty like a glove.

I like the construction of the RB gig bags better. So I am going to wait for their smaller gig bag to come out.

Barb,

I would love to hear more. Actually, I don't know if it's possible, but I'd love to see what the Shorty looks like in the bag. That looks like an amazing bag, and if it fits the Shorty snugly, then I might just get one.

Hi CB,
I will try to take a picture of the Shorty in the RB Continental bag for you when I have a chance later this week.

I have one of the Reunion Blues Continentals in the Classical size. It is a perfect fit for my 00017s and my om28v. Would love a bag of that quality that would be a good fit for a 00.

The dimensions of the RB Classsical gig bag are: 41x16x5

So I can't imagine it's a snug fit but it probably would work.

SUCCESS!

Hi Lisa,

Thanks for your input! We definitely appreciate it. We are looking into a smaller size bag for parlor style guitars. We don't make custom cases but we've had some other inquiries for similar instruments and may just have to add it to the line.

Thanks again

There are bags for 3/4 size guitars which seem just about right for the Parlor. When I get mine I will probably be looking.

Me too. My shorty fits perfectly as does my Martin OM-28 Marquis. Great bags! I also have one for my bass.

I just ordered the Mono classical/OM bag. It was a real toss up between the two but the deciding factor for me was weight. The RB came in at 9 lbs and the Mono at 6. Both bags get great reviews.
