Question Hard strumming on a 514?

I've seen people say that a 514 (especially with cedar top) is so so for hard strumming. What is meant by "hard strumming"? Does anyone have some song examples?

How about Sweet Home Alabama. I have heard it called overdriven. I had a 514 cedar and when we would play fast and loud with real aggressive up and down strumming you would start to lose a chord or tonal clarity. Was it horrible sounding, not really , just noticeable. I believe it was due to the cedar top. Now for lighter strumming and all kinds of finger & flat pickin' the 514 works great. dink

My opinion and I have already made people sick with my opinion. I can't control myself once I get started, so for me any Taylor 10 or 15 model (medium guage strings) seems to take a pounding better without the sound getting distorted. Now for those that have control while they are playing any Taylor would work. dink

I love Sweet Home Alabama, dink. Please play it for me! BTW, a friend played the theme from Hill Street Blues on my 312ce unplugged, and it blew my socks off!
