Thumbs up New 2000 914C

I just brought home a NEW 2000 914C from my dealer. I had always admired the guitar but just always thought that someday maybe several years from now I would get a 900 series. With the changes that have been made to the 900 series guitars I figured that I better get this one while I still could. The main features of this guitar that I much prefer to the new 914 are the Rosewood binding, the inlay extension around the fingerboard and the Cindy inlay. The other added bonus, at least in my opinion, is that this one was built in late 2000 so it also has the N/T neck. I could have purchased a 2001 914 for about $200.00 less but to me there just was no comparison. Oh and it also has the USA made pink plush case. I am very pleased with this guitar it plays and sounds great. I must also add that the difference between the 2000 and the 2001 is strictly cosmetic the 2001 sounds just as good it just to me did not compare in appearance.

CaptBill:

Congrats on your new purchase. I, too, searched for a 2000 714 for the older cosmetics, yet newer technology. Unfortunately, however, I got the monkey fur case.

Enjoy your new addition. Are you going to add any electronics?

Jay
