Default Just a Question on Just A Closer Walk With Thee

So I want to play this song. (Just A Closer Walk With Thee)
I have seen several different chord charts but none of them seem to fit.

This one is what I like:

Hi aaron...

They are playing in Key of A on the video.

One is capoed at the second fret playing in G (relative to the capo)

Not doing much exotic. Ocasionally playing the V chord straight as opposed to a 7th chord.

A-E(7)-D

G-D(7)-C

There was a major 7th chord in there a couple times, but it wasn't a different basic chord.

Although I have been working at this guitar thing off and on for a few years now I still cannot totally pick out a song by just listening.

So one guy is playing A chords
The other is capoed second fret playing the G-chords?

I guess if one was to play it on a single guitar it would sound about the same either way?

Thank you again LJ.
You have always proved to be very helpful.

Hi aaron...

You are welcome.

No, they won't sound the same. The "A" version will have lower bass notes than the "G" version.

If they sounded the same there would be no sense in one player capo-ing and the other playing open chords...especially in a song with only 3 songs.

Pull out your guitar and play along with YouTube. There are only three chords so it's not hard to figure out the chord.

(Hint: A then E then A then D then A then E then A)
(or: G then D then G then C then G then D then G)
